General
What exactly does DocuGulf do?
We handle the paperwork for common official documents in the UAE end to end: the enquiry, the quote, collecting what is needed from you, payment, dealing with the authority or the notary, and getting the finished document back to you. You deal with one team instead of a typing centre, a notary, a translator and a government counter separately.
Is DocuGulf a law firm?
No. We are a documentation facilitation service. We do not give legal advice and we do not represent you in a dispute. The regulated parts of your matter are performed by licensed notaries, certified translators and approved typing centres. If what you need is advice rather than paperwork, we will tell you.
What will it cost me, in total?
A flat DocuGulf service fee, quoted before you commit, plus any government, notary or typing-centre charges. Those are passed through at cost and itemised separately on your invoice, never marked up. Every service fee is published on our price list.
Why are government fees separate from your fee?
Because they are not ours and they change. A government or notary fee is set by the authority, sometimes varies with your document, and occasionally changes without notice. Folding it into one number would mean either padding it to be safe or re-quoting you later. Showing it at cost means you can see exactly what went to us and what went to the authority.
Do I have to go anywhere in person?
For most services, no, you can start and finish on WhatsApp. We only ask you to attend where the law requires your physical presence, which in practice means some notary signatures. We tell you at quote stage whether your matter is one of those.
What documents do I need to send you?
It depends on the service, and we tell you exactly what is needed with your quote so there is no guessing. Usually a clear photo of each document is enough to start; clear phone photos are fine and we will say if an original is required.
How long does it take?
It depends on the document and the authority involved. We give you a realistic timeline with your quote and keep you updated. What we do not do is control a government processing queue, so a timeline is our best honest estimate rather than a promise.
How do I know where my order is?
Every order gets a code, and you can check its status at any time on the tracking page without signing in or remembering a password. We also message you when it moves.
How do I pay, and when?
After you approve your quote and before we start work. You get a payment link covering card, Apple Pay and Google Pay; we never see or store your card details. Instalments through Tabby may be available on larger orders. A VAT-compliant invoice is issued once payment clears.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Tell us before work starts and we will refund the service fee. Once a government or notary fee has been paid on your behalf, or the regulated work has begun, that part cannot be recovered, it has already left us. The full position is in our terms.
What happens if you make a mistake?
We redo it and we absorb the cost. If a document has to be resubmitted because of an error we made, wrong details submitted, a step we missed, a partner we chose getting it wrong, that is ours to fix. See The DocuGulf Guarantee for what that covers and, just as importantly, what it cannot.
What if the government rejects my application?
We tell you why and what it will take to fix. If the rejection was caused by something we got wrong, the resubmission is at our cost. If it was caused by the information we were given, or by a decision that is the authority's to make, the resubmission is chargeable, and we will always explain which it is before doing anything.
Is my passport safe with you?
We ask only for what a service genuinely needs, store documents encrypted, and share them only with the licensed partner handling your matter. You can ask for a copy of everything we hold or ask us to delete it. Our privacy policy sets out the detail, including that we never sell your data.
Do you work outside Dubai?
Yes. Most of what we do is handled online and works anywhere in the Emirates, and several services work while you are outside the country entirely, an outside-person power of attorney exists for exactly that. A few services are emirate-specific, Ejari being the obvious one, and those are marked on their pages.
Can you help a company, not just an individual?
Yes, commercial document attestation, trademark filings and employment paperwork are regular work. Commercial attestation is priced differently from personal, so ask for a quote rather than reading the personal figure.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm UAE time. The footer of every page shows whether we are open right now. Messages that arrive outside those hours are picked up when we open.
Which language do you work in?
English or Arabic, whichever suits you. Documents submitted to UAE authorities often have to be in Arabic, which is what our MOJ-certified translation is for.
Something has gone wrong. Who do I talk to?
Tell us on the support page, on WhatsApp, or by phone, and ask for it to be escalated if you have already raised it once, that sends it to whoever is accountable for the service rather than back into the same queue.
Attestation See the service →
What does attestation actually mean?
It's a chain of official stamps confirming your document is genuine, so UAE authorities will accept it.
Can you attest a document from my home country?
Yes. It usually needs to be attested (or apostilled) in the home country and at the UAE embassy there first, then MOFAIC in the UAE. We'll explain the full chain and cost for your country.
Why are commercial documents more expensive?
The MOFAIC government fee for commercial documents is much higher than for personal ones, and the process is more involved. We'll confirm the exact figure per document.
How fast can it be done?
MOFAIC attestation is often same-day to three days once we have the original. Home-country and embassy stages add time that varies by country.
Certified true copy See the service →
What is a certified true copy?
It's a photocopy stamped and signed by an authorised professional confirming it matches the original, so you can submit copies instead of your originals.
Who certifies it?
A licensed lawyer or chartered accountant we partner with.
Is the price per document or per set?
AED 390 per set. Tell us how many documents you have and we'll confirm.
Do you keep a copy for me?
Your certified set is stored securely in your private vault, so we can resend it whenever you need it.
Marriage certificate See the service →
Why does my marriage certificate need attestation?
UAE authorities only accept a foreign marriage certificate once it's attested, proving it's genuine. It's required for spouse sponsorship.
Can you attest a certificate from any country?
Most countries, yes. The exact steps depend on where you married, we'll map out the chain for you.
I need this for a family visa, can you do both?
Yes. We can attest the certificate and then process the family visa together.
How long does it take?
Typically three days to two weeks, depending on the attestation chain for your country.
Legal translation See the service →
What makes a translation "official" or "certified"?
It is done by a translator licensed by the UAE Ministry of Justice, who stamps and certifies it, so courts and government departments accept it as an official translation, not just an informal one.
Will courts and government offices accept it?
Yes. An MOJ-certified (sworn) document translation is accepted by UAE courts, notaries, embassies, and government departments.
Which languages do you cover?
The most common is Arabic to and from English, but we cover many other language pairs. Tell us your languages and we'll confirm.
Is the price per page?
Yes, from AED 80 per page. Send us the document and we'll confirm the exact page count and price.
Can you also notarise or attest the translation?
Yes. If the authority needs the translation notarised or attested, we can arrange that as an add-on.
Power of attorney See the service →
What's the difference between a general and a special POA?
A general POA grants broad authority; a special POA is limited to one specific task, such as selling a car or handling a single court matter. A special POA is usually cheaper and safer, we'll recommend the right one for you.
Do I need to visit the notary in person?
For many POAs the principal must sign before the notary, either in person or through the notary's online service. We'll tell you exactly which applies to your case.
Can I cancel a POA later?
Yes, a POA can be revoked. Ask us and we'll explain the process.
Is it valid across the UAE?
A notarised POA is generally accepted across the UAE. If it needs to be used abroad, see our Outside-Person Power of Attorney service.
Outside-person POA See the service →
How is this different from a normal POA?
A normal UAE POA is only accepted inside the UAE. To be valid abroad it must also be attested by MOFAIC and legalised by the destination country, which this service covers end to end.
Does the price depend on the country?
Yes. Each country's legalisation or embassy fees differ, so we give you the exact all-in figure once we know the destination.
What do you need about the person acting for me?
We need your attorney's full name and details exactly as they should appear in the POA.
Do I need to sign in person?
Notarisation usually requires the principal to sign, in person or via the notary's online service. We'll confirm what your case needs.
Debt acknowledgment See the service →
Why notarise a debt acknowledgment?
A notarised acknowledgment is much stronger evidence if you ever need to enforce the debt, and can speed up recovery.
Do both parties need to sign?
Yes, typically both the debtor and creditor sign before the notary.
What if the debtor doesn't pay?
A notarised acknowledgment can support enforcement. For that step we'd connect you with a licensed lawyer, we don't give advice ourselves.
NOC from husband See the service →
What is an NOC used for?
A No-Objection Certificate is a signed statement that one party doesn't object to something, commonly a husband confirming no objection to his wife's employment or travel.
Does it need to be notarised?
For official use, yes, a notarised NOC carries more weight. Our AED 780 price includes drafting and notarisation.
How quickly can I get it?
Usually within one to two days.
Family visa See the service →
What salary do I need to sponsor my family?
Requirements vary by emirate and family member, generally starting around AED 4,000 with accommodation. We'll confirm based on your case.
Do I need an attested marriage certificate?
Yes, to sponsor a spouse, your marriage certificate must be attested for UAE use. We can handle that too; see our Marriage Certificate service.
Are government fees included in your price?
No. Our AED 3,199 service fee is separate; government fees are passed through at cost and itemised on your invoice.
How long does the whole process take?
Usually two to four weeks, depending on the medical, Emirates ID appointment and stamping.
Ejari / tenancy See the service →
Why do I need Ejari?
Ejari is the official registration of your tenancy in Dubai. You need it for visas, DEWA, family sponsorship and school enrolment.
Is your price really all-in?
Yes, AED 349 covers both the government fee and our service, with nothing extra to pay separately.
How fast is it?
Usually the same day, once we have all your documents.
What documents do you need?
Your tenancy contract, a copy of the title deed, your Emirates ID or passport, and your DEWA number.
MOHRE filing See the service →
Do you represent me at MOHRE?
No. We prepare and file your documents. We don't attend hearings, argue your case or give advice, that's a lawyer's role.
Is filing a MOHRE complaint free?
Yes, MOHRE doesn't charge to file. Our fee is for preparing your memorandum properly and handling the submission.
What if it escalates to court?
If the matter moves to the labour court, you'll need a licensed lawyer. That's outside our scope, but we can hand over your prepared documents.
How long does it take?
We usually prepare the memorandum within 1–2 working days of receiving your details.
Trademark filing See the service →
Is this advice?
No. We handle the application filing and search. Advice on strategy, objections or disputes needs a registered IP agent or lawyer.
What can I trademark?
A brand name, logo, slogan or a combination. Each class of goods/services is filed and priced separately.
How long does registration take?
Several months across publication and registration stages. We keep you posted at each step.

Roughly AED 8,700 per class across the stages, passed through at cost. We confirm the exact figures before filing.

Are RTA/government charges extra?
Yes. Our service fee is fixed; RTA fees, inspection and any fines are passed through at cost.
Can you handle the vehicle inspection too?
Yes, we can book the inspection as part of a registration renewal.
How fast is it?
Most transactions are same-day once we have your documents and any inspection is done.
Nothing matches that. Try a shorter search, or ask us directly.
Still not sure?
Tell us the situation and we will tell you which service you need, what it costs and what we need from you, before you commit to anything.
