Why notarisation matters

A Power of Attorney only becomes enforceable once it has been notarised at a Dubai notary public. Before that stage, it's simply a drafted document with no official standing. What happens before notarisation

The POA is first drafted in Arabic and English, tailored to the specific powers you want to grant. You review and approve the wording before it goes to the notary, this is your chance to make sure the scope is exactly what you intend, especially for a special POA limited to one task.

Signing at the notary, in person or online

For many POAs, the principal (the person granting authority) must sign before the notary, either in person or through the notary's online notarisation service.
